New Work, New Shows Coming Up

"Eggs" on dispaly at Gallery Revisited in Los Angeles starting December 2, 2006.

I am all over the place in December! How Exciting!

Once again, I'm in the Outsiders and Others Holiday Show at Calhoun Square. It's called "No Fruitcake". That's here in Minneapolis, by the way. Also in the Outsiders and Others regular gallery space I have a tiny solo showcase with a wide variety of work, some old, some new.

Opening November 25th in Philadelphia at Art Star Gallery I have some ornaments and cards and such...looks like a really fun show.

Opening December 2nd in Los Angeles at Gallery Revisisted I will be showing 10 new pieces in a group show. LA! Very Cool!

I'm also in an exciting group show in NEW YORK CITY, but the venue is changing because the show is turning out to be so darn cool...details forthcoming.

I have a solo show at Paperboat Gallery in January as well.

Whew! I am a hard working woman!

Ella as a Rabbit

In one of my first entries, "I heart bunnies", I had said I was seriously considering adopting a house rabbit. I starting calling my dog, Ella, "Bunny", and somehow that seems to have rid me of the desire to bring home a pet rabbit (sort-of, mostly). Everyone I know who has seen this painting so far says it looks like Ella. It does in some weird way. Strange.

Ella, by the way, is much, much better. Thanks to everyone who asked after her and sent us well wishes.

Ashly

My niece Ashly came to visit me this past weekend with her Brother Cody, Mom Rhonda and Shih Tzu, Ringo. Ashly has been the subject of many, many of my paintings and now I am honored to be the subject of her first painting on canvas!

Article in VenusZine

There is a very nice interview/article written by Sheba White in VenusZine about me. How cool is that? It talks a lot about my solo show at Bluebottle Art Gallery that opened yesterday.
You can read it here.

Also, now that the show is officially up, you can view the entire show online at the Bluebottle Gallery website (I linked to it above).

Starting tomorrow and throughout the weekend I am exhibiting my work as a guest in the studio of jewelry maker extraordinaire, Karin Jacobson. It's part of Art Attack in the Northup King Building.
